Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape mobile experiences that improve customer engagement while strengthening the performance, scalability, and reliability of the company's iOS applications. You will partner closely with backend engineers and other technical stakeholders to define APIs, establish strong engineering standards, and deliver high-quality product features. The position also calls for strategic technical leadership, including architecture decisions, testing strategy, and mentorship that supports a growing mobile engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of impactful product features to enhance customer experience.
• Lead the architecture and optimization of mobile infrastructure for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and document APIs for mobile-server communication.
• Champion best engineering practices to ensure high standards in code quality and system design.
• Identify and drive strategic technical initiatives to solve complex challenges effectively.
• Oversee the establishment of testing strategies to ensure quality and stability of applications.
• Define key performance indicators to measure feature effectiveness and inform future improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in mobile development and project leadership.
• Expert proficiency in Swift and familiarity with modern iOS frameworks like Combine and SwiftUI.
• Strong understanding of iOS application architectures (MVVM, MVP, VIPER).
• Proven experience in developing scalable and maintainable mobile solutions.
• Mentoring experience to help guide junior engineers is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Android development and cross-platform technologies is advantageous.
