Senior Mobile Engineer

About the role

We seek an experienced Mobile Engineer with a strong background in building comprehensive user solutions and frontend infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of mobile development experience, ideally in React Native. We will prioritize candidates who have built a React Native app from scratch or who have meaningfully contributed to a production app.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale projects for our app for EBT shoppers, which allows them to check their SNAP balance, collect rewards and more.
• Ship critical projects and establish best practices for frontend development for the team.
• Improve frontend infrastructure and tooling.
• Balance business priorities with user experience and technical sustainability in trade-offs when balancing new feature requests and necessary engineering improvements.
• Influence frontend development at Forage by sharing technical vision and providing guidance.
• Mentor teammates and others around frontend best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of mobile engineering experience building end-to-end user solutions
• Experience in React Native, especially having built an app from scratch
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives within your team, mentoring engineers through design and delivery, contributing meaningfully to roadmap discussions, and independently driving complex projects from design through execution

Schedule

• Hybrid in New York or San Francisco, we will consider remote within North America on a case-by-case basis.
• We define hybrid as 2-3 days in office.

Pay

• $185k - $200k base
