Responsibilities
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Monitors and responds to software problems utilizing software testing, tools and techniques.
- Interfaces with various support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- May provide LAN server support.
- Applies basic knowledge of PC/LAN communications hardware/software in a multi-protocol environment, and network management software.
- PC Deskside Technicians log, validate and diagnose customer issues, on the full range of applications used on the customer site.
- Provides the customer with a solution through information gathering, analytical trouble shooting and problem research, or to route or escalate the ticket to the appropriate resolution group.
- Escalation and management of calls to agreed service levels.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
- Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades.
- Troubleshooting and repairing software and network connectivity issues.
Qualifications
- Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting, familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and macOS, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent years of experience, minimum 3-5 years of related experience as a PC Technician or similar role.
- Preferred Qualifications: Technical certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) is a plus.
