Senior Mobile Developer

About the role

VARITE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Developer to design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using a framework like React Native. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, expertise in backend technologies (AWS services and API integration), and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

• Mobile App Development: Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native; implement UI/UX designs, optimize app performance, and collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams.
• Backend Integration: Leverage AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3) to build and integrate backend functionality; develop, maintain, and optimize APIs; implement authentication, user management, and data synchronization features using AWS Cognito or similar services.
• Cross-Platform Development: Utilize a cross-platform development framework to maximize code reusability; ensure platform-specific optimizations and stay updated on best practices.
• Agile Development: Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, refine requirements with product owners, and continuously improve development processes.
• Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative team environment, provide guidance to junior developers, and contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of mobile app development experience for iOS and Android platforms.
• Proven track record of developing cross-platform mobile apps and integrating backend services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and technology landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications in mobile development (e.g., React Native) (preferred).
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate or Professional (preferred).

Skills

• Proficiency in cross-platform mobile development using React Native or a similar framework.
• Extensive experience with iOS and Android app development.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with AWS services for backend development, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Experience with API integration and third-party service integration in mobile apps.
• Version control using Git and GitHub.
• Familiarity with NodeJS and TypeScript.
