Senior Mobile App Developer - Java/Kotlin Multiplatform

About the role

This is a full-time lead Mobile Developer Position. You will work at the forefront of mobile application development engaging with the latest Java/Kotlin Cross-Platform and AWS technologies to create innovative, real-time vehicle control solutions similar to those used by consumer drones. (AION C3, QGroundControl, DJI Fly, Autel Explorer, Mission Planner, etc)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug mobile applications for robotics solutions.
• Work on the entire software development lifecycle, from working on released apps to new architectural road maps, feature concepts, design, testing, and deployment.
• Work on real autonomous vehicles and advanced hardware and software technologies daily.

Requirements

• Proficiency in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks like Kotlin Multi-Platform.
• Amazon Web Services: Skill in integrating a broad range of AWS APIs and Services into mobile applications.
• UI/UX Design: Ability to create intuitive and visually appealing mobile app interfaces by collaborating with designers.
• Version Control: Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Testing, Debugging and Automation: Familiarity with mobile app testing, debugging, and real-time performance optimization.
• Publishing: Knowledge of app publishing processes on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Push Notifications: Experience with implementing push notifications and in-app messaging.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of mobile app security best practices, data protection and obfuscation methods.
• Adaptability: Ability to work on various mobile app projects, adapt to different platforms, and learn new technologies quickly while working independently and/or as part of a team with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mobile app development.

Skills

• Java/Kotlin programming language.
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks like Kotlin Multi-Platform.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with UI/UX design and collaboration with designers.
• Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
• Experience with mobile app testing, debugging, and real-time performance optimization.
• Experience with app publishing processes on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Experience with push notifications and in-app messaging.
