About the Role

This role is based at our client site in Pittsburgh, PA, requiring on-site presence 5 days a week. We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative ML/AI Engineer with deep expertise in traditional AI/ML, including model development, data science, MLOps, and model validation, along with exposure to GenAI and agentic AI patterns such as RAG, orchestration, tool integration, and governed workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing predictive models while architecting future-ready applications that integrate predictive models and generative AI.
  • Build and deploy predictive models (e.g., Random Forest, Linear Regression) for enterprise-scale problems such as fraud detection, anomaly detection, and churn prediction.
  • Develop robust and scalable pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
  • Design and implement scalable ML pipelines with CI/CD automation, efficient model training, validation, and deployment across enterprise environments.
  • Translate complex requirements into scalable and efficient architecture.
  • Integrate LLMs with enterprise datasets using Azure OpenAI.
  • Demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Apply hands-on experience with generative AI models such as GPT and agentic frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangGraph, MCP).
  • Implement MLOps practices for building scalable AI pipelines.
  • Apply solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and AI ethics.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, leveraging excellent communication and leadership qualities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with 1–2 years specifically focused on GenAI or AI/ML projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture in the banking domain.
  • 4+ years of experience in Python and MongoDB.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, model training, and model deployment.
  • Knowledge of LLM models, LangChain, and Hugging Face.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 – $198,400.00.
