Senior Metrologist
About the role
Fluke Corporation is seeking a Senior Metrologist to support Fluke Everett Service Center operations. This position functions as part of a team of metrologists and engineers, supporting accredited calibrations of existing Fluke products. Day-to-day responsibilities include review of calibration results of the standards that support measurement systems and providing technical support to both external and internal customers. This role provides Metrology leadership to the laboratory, ensuring quality of results with incredible attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop calibration methods and techniques for the highest level of Fluke Calibration products based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy requirements for calibration standards.
- Perform uncertainty analysis in support of accredited calibrations, including control charting and statistical process controls.
- Design and develop automated test and measurement systems.
- Drive continuous improvement of calibration processes, including maintenance of those systems.
- Apply knowledge to develop metrology quality system policies and procedures.
- Train technicians and metrologists on best calibration practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred, or PMEL training and equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience with MET/CAL, C#, VB, Java, and/or Python programming for data analysis and process control.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in Metrology supporting ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibrations preferred.
- Ability to develop detailed and complete uncertainty analyses based on best practices from the GUM and other international guidance documents.
- Excellent customer service, strong interpersonal and team-building skills, flexibility, and critical thinking.
- Ability to write technical documents and papers, as well as excellent technical communication to people of varying technical backgrounds.
- Strong time management skills, self-motivated, and works well independently and within a team.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $101,200 - $169,050 (local currency).
Additional Information
The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Accordingly, candidates must either be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations. Ongoing employment is dependent upon obtaining the appropriate government export authorizations.
