Senior Merchant – Lifestyle Nutrition
Position Summary
The (USA) Senior Merchant leads category strategy and financial management for complex product lines, driving customer-focused decisions across multiple channels. This role oversees supplier negotiations, pricing, and promotional strategies while managing a high-performing team to achieve business objectives. Utilizing data analysis and market insights, the Senior Merchant ensures alignment with company goals and optimizes assortment, inventory, and merchandising initiatives.
What you'll do
Develop and execute category strategies to drive business growth and align with long-term plans.
Manage profit and loss, financial forecasting, and budgeting to meet financial targets.
Lead supplier negotiations, establish terms, and oversee supplier performance and communication.
Guide and develop team members through coaching, performance management, and career development.
Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competition to inform merchandising and pricing decisions.
Oversee item lifecycle, assortment planning, and modular layout execution across channels.
Utilize data analytics to influence strategic decisions and optimize category performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on channel strategy and operational priorities.
About the team
About the team: Our team leads strategy, assortment, and supplier partnerships for the $3.5B Nutrition category, including protein, collagen, creatine, pre-workouts, and performance supplements. We focus on emerging consumer trends and data-driven decisions to develop channel strategies, curate assortments, and manage profit and loss. Collaborating cross-functionally, the team optimizes financial performance and supplier relationships while driving category growth. Members are empowered to make strategic decisions, support execution, and foster continuous improvement in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
What you'll bring
Proven expertise in category and financial management, including profit and loss ownership for complex categories.
Strong skills in supplier management and negotiation to drive price leadership and profitability.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute category, channel, and pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Experience managing and developing teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to inform decisions and optimize merchandising and assortment strategies.
Excellent communication and project management skills to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and drive results.
Adaptability to navigate changing business environments and support continuous improvement efforts.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising or related field and 4 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
OR 6 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
1 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters: Business, Masters: Merchandising
