About the role
Suffolk is seeking a MEP Project Manager to manage, inspect, coordinate, and oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving mechanical bid tabs and exhibit B in contracts
- Selecting and managing MEP subcontractors
- Managing MEP sub-contractors and reviewing monthly requisitions and change orders
- Ensuring coordination with BIM/VDC personnel and Superintendents
- Overseeing inspections and testing, and obtaining all necessary documentation
- Coordinating with the Commissioning agent and public utility companies
- Developing and monitoring equipment delivery logs, and organizing submittal processes
- Attending meetings and communicating with various stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and international building codes
- Performing testing and balancing, and commissioning practices
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Technical/Engineering field, with a focus on Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection Systems
- Minimum 10+ years of experience with MEP Systems
- Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Complete understanding of BIM/VDC coordination and various hit detection programs
- Knowledge of Local, City, State, and International building codes for the project location
- Extensive knowledge of ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and LEED requirements
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
