About the role

As a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT), you will provide support to adults with persistent mental health challenges within a residential setting. Your primary additional responsibilities include overseeing and managing client medication.

You will act as a role model, administer medication, assist with personal care, and inspire clients to be as independent as possible, both at home and in the community. This role includes attending and actively promoting recreational and social outings and activities for our clients, with transportation provided via New Communities company vehicles.

An MHRT acts with the highest level of ethics and professional conduct to provide quality services with respect and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage client medication
  • Provide support to adults with persistent mental health challenges in a residential setting
  • Act as a role model for clients
  • Administer medication and assist with personal care
  • Inspire clients to achieve independence at home and in the community
  • Attend and promote recreational and social outings and activities
  • Transport clients using company vehicles
  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Active 40-hour CRMA certification
  • 3 years’ experience in direct care and medication administration preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English

Pay

Pay rate ranges from $19.00 to $20.50 per hour, dependent on position, shift, certifications, and experience.

Schedule

Full-time position: Tuesday–Friday, 6:45 AM–4:45 PM (40 hours per week).
