About the role
This role supports a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage. The Senior Mental Health Counselor provides counseling, education and case management to clients in structured programs as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Duties include assisting leadership in developing and maintaining program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor demonstrates advanced clinical skills, serves as a resource for other clinicians, and exemplifies Providence Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling, education and case management to clients in structured programs
- Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Assist leadership in developing and maintaining program processes
- Develop and maintain group curriculum
- Serve as a clinical resource for other clinicians
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or a health-related field
- Upon hire: Alaska Master Social Worker License, OR Alaska Clinical Social Worker License, OR Alaska Psychologist License, OR Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License, OR Alaska Professional Counselor License
- Upon hire: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
- 5 years of clinical experience

Pay
$40.11 – $62.27 per hour (base pay range). Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
