Senior Mental Health Counselor

This role supports a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage, providing counseling, education, and case management to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Senior Mental Health Counselor assists leadership in developing and maintaining program processes and group curriculum, demonstrates advanced clinical skills, and serves as a resource for other clinicians while exemplifying Providence Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, education, and case management to clients in structured programs.
• Assist leadership in developing and maintaining program processes and group curriculum.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and serve as a resource for other clinicians.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field.
• One of the following Alaska licenses upon hire:
  • Masters Social Worker License
  • Clinical Social Worker License
  • Psychologist License
  • Marriage and Family Therapist License
  • Professional Counselor License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification upon hire.
• 5 years of clinical experience.

Pay

The wage range for this position is $40.11 – $62.27 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
