Responsibilities
- Provide fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health care professionals, and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs
- Serve as an established scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products per Therapeutic Area (TA) alignment
- Stay abreast of current scientific and treatment trends in therapeutic areas of interest
- Provide research support for company and investigator-initiated research
- Function with high integrity and follow credo values
- Build external relationships with identified KOLs and health care providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D., bio coordinators) and develop and manage geographical territory (engagements can include both virtual & in-person, with a prioritization of in-person engagements when appropriate)
- Develop and maintain a territory strategic plan, which includes educational activities with identified OLs, HCPs, institutions, and community practices
- Possess a level of competency and experience in the disease state
- Demonstrate foundational competencies in Influence & Results Focused, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge, and Data Insights & Dissemination
- Rapidly identify and compliantly collaborate with field-based partners to ensure support of Healthcare Providers which will positively impact the patients they care for
- Enhance skills in agility, applying competencies of Change Management, Time Management and Innovation
- Conduct all activities in accordance with current regulatory and health care compliance guidelines
- Travel primarily throughout assigned geography, with infrequent meeting travel outside of assigned geography (estimated at 60%)
- Consistently demonstrate strategic territory planning and ability to build strong relationships within the territory
- Consistently demonstrate strong scientific acumen
- Continuously support Department Operations and Internal Partners
Qualifications
- PharmD, PhD, MD, NP or PA with 2+ years relevant neurology, immunology and/or neuromuscular experience
- 2-4 years MSL experience, and/or 2-3 years relevant work experience (clinical or research experience) and/or related pharma work
- Requires travel of approximately 60% depending on geography, including overnight and weekends as needed
- A valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Launch experience in rare disease
- Significant experience giving presentations
Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - $235,750.00. For Bay Area: $157,000.00 - $271,400.00.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
- Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado – 48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – 56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year
- Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
- Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
- Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
- Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
- Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
- Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
