(Senior) Medical Science Liaison - External Research

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical support to cross-functional teams for research discussions
• Engage KOLs in oncology for collaborative research opportunities
• Seek opportunities for the company assays in impactful external research
• Identify clinical unmet needs in cancer types relevant to the company assays
• Evaluate study proposals for scientific and strategic merit
• Act as a research liaison between internal data scientists and external investigators
• Support medical writing for research abstracts and publications

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in Medical Affairs within diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceuticals
• Ability to manage multiple study collaborations effectively
• Strong communication and liaison skills with KOLs and academic researchers
• Existing relationships with oncology KOLs are preferred
• Public speaking skills to convey complex scientific information clearly
• Working knowledge of clinical trial design and statistical methods preferred
• Knowledge of genomic laboratory-developed testing and related regulatory guidelines

Pay

$120,000 – $190,000 annually
