About the role
As a Senior Medical Auditor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by performing monthly, quarterly pro-fee and/or facility E/M, Surgery, IR/VIR coding audits for clients, ensuring compliance, and educating vendors and clients based on audit results.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly pro-fee and/or facility E/M, Surgery, IR/VIR coding audits for clients.
- Conduct retrospective audits on vendor coders and individual clients for Quality Assurance.
- Perform educational sessions to vendors and clients based on the audit results.
- Ensure vendor and client compliance with official coding guidelines.
- Create audit reports and summaries for clients in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain auditing schedules.
- Support and educate internal coding team.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and follow all state and federal guidelines for release of information.
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university AND four (4) years of combined experience with professional fee/Facility auditing and/or ICD coding and/or CPT/HCPCS.
- OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution AND eight (8) years of combined experience with professional fee/Facility auditing and/or ICD coding and/or CPT/HCPCS in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement.
- Three (3) years combined experience with professional fee/Facility auditing and/or coding in ICD-10-CM, PCS, and CPT/HCPCS.
- AAPC and/or AHIMA certification (e.g., CPC, CPMA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, RRC, CIRCC).
- One (1) year of ICD-10 training and proficiency.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize job duties under general supervision.
Schedule
- Work location: Remote
- Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
- Onboarding: New employees hired for this position with a start date of October 1st, 2025 or later will be required to travel to a designated company location for on-site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company.
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $83,600 - $114,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
