Senior Medical Assistant

About the role

The Senior Medical Assistant with a Limited X-ray License implements delegated aspects of care and assists in both direct and indirect patient care and routine diagnostic radiographic services under the direct medical supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities

• Implements delegated aspects of care under the supervision of a physician.
• Aids in patient care activities, including but not limited to, assisting with examinations, collecting specimens, and preparing patients for diagnostic imaging.
• Provides a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, handling confidential data with discretion.
• Assists in the coordination of patient care, ensuring smooth transitions between healthcare providers and departments.

Requirements

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting
• 2 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion
• 6 months Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning)
• Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months
• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
