Responsibilities
- Develop and execute earned media strategies for leading technology clients.
- Provide day-to-day media counsel and strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Drive executive visibility and thought leadership initiatives for brands and executives.
- Build and strengthen relationships with business, technology, trade and broadcast media.
- Identify timely media opportunities and develop proactive story ideas that break through the news cycle.
- Monitor the technology landscape to identify emerging trends and relevant industry conversations.
- Develop compelling narratives, media strategies and communications materials that translate complex technologies and business trends into stories that resonate with media and key audiences.
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact and help manage account operations, timelines and budgets.
- Mentor and support junior team members through coaching, feedback and day-to-day leadership.
- Contribute to integrated communications programs and support new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of technology sectors including AI, enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity and data and analytics.
- Think like a journalist; you know what makes a story newsworthy, timely and relevant.
- Established relationships across business, technology, trade and broadcast media, with a demonstrated ability to build new relationships as beats and coverage priorities evolve.
- Experience supporting executive visibility and thought leadership initiatives.
- Ability to provide sound media counsel to client stakeholders and executives.
- Strong writing, storytelling and presentation skills.
- Experience developing media plans and communications materials with limited oversight.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
