Senior Mechanical Engineer - Vancouver, WA

About the role

A growing Pacific Northwest design-build mechanical contractor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its integrated engineering team. This individual will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, institutional, and industrial projects. This opportunity offers involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept and design through construction and commissioning, while working alongside engineering, BIM, construction, and controls teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, BIM teams, architects, and owners throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience focused on HVAC and building systems.
• Experience designing commercial, healthcare, educational, institutional, multifamily, or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, energy codes, and ASHRAE standards.
