Senior Mechanical Engineer - Power Generation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from conceptual to detailed stages, including calculations, specifications, and drawings.
• Cookordination with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a technical liaison with clients.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee design development using 2D/3D software.
• Perform system sizing, equipment selection, and design validation based on industry standards and codes.
• Support field visits, data collection, and construction coordination.
• Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• 15+ years of relevant power generation design experience, with a focus on natural gas plants.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a year.
• Experience in designing reciprocating engines, simple cycle, combined cycle, or CHP plants.
• Proficiency with design software like Thermoflow, CAESAR II, or Pipe-Flo preferred.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and industry codes.
