Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineering | Manufacturing Operations | Sheet Finishing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of sustaining and capital mechanical engineering projects using structured project management practices
• Own projects from initial concept, scope development, and technical specifications through safety reviews, bid processes, equipment-installation, commissioning, and project closeout
• Develop clear project plans, schedules, and documentation to support safe and efficient execution
• Cookordinate and manage external vendors and contractors providing engineering, materials, fabrication, and installation services
• Partner with maintenance and production teams to ensure solutions are practical, maintainable, and aligned with operational needs
• Drive tactical improvements related to safety, infrastructure reliability, training, equipment performance, and production efficiency
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proven ability to manage projects and priorities independently in a production-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
