Senior Mechanical Engineer / Onsite / Woburn, MA

Daily Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble, and test complex mechatronic systems including multi-axis actuation.
• Validate designs using structural finite element analysis (FEA).
• Create and interpret engineering drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate industrial robotic products.
• Perform hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of mechatronic systems in real-world environments.
• Drive innovation from concept through production in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in robotics or automation industry.
• Experience designing and specifying actuators, motors, and sensing technologies.
• Proven ability to validate designs with FEA.
• Proficiency in Onshape, Solidworks (or equivalent), and creating/interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like Arena PLM.
• Ability to perform hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of complex mechatronic systems.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical design and fabrication.
• Experience with industrial robotic products and systems.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic components and their integration into mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance.

Skills

• Expertise in mechatronic system design.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Onshape, Solidworks).
• Experience with FEA and other simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
