Senior Mechanical Engineer - Onsite (Urgent Need)

Location: Durham, NC • 7-month contract • 40 hours/week • 1st shift • Pay rate: $45–50/hr • US citizens, GC holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT only

About the role

Mechanical Engineering is responsible for designing and developing components, mechanisms, systems, and finished products or equipment. The role demonstrates a working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and its application in solving standard mechanical problems, with a working understanding of internal and external customer or business needs. Translates requirements into basic specifications and designs with moderate guidance, develops and executes test protocols with moderate guidance, and independently tests, analyzes, and solves technical problems.

Requirements

• Developed knowledge and skills in the Mechanical Engineering job family; still acquiring or expanding fundamental knowledge and higher-level skills
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills to a variety of standard activities
• Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge
