Senior Mechanical Engineer - Healthcare

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the Healthcare Mechanical Department in Raleigh, NC. They will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, collaborate with Project and Client Managers, and ensure that all mechanical requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving mechanical engineering.
• Technical training and development of staff.
• Assist in establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the mechanical discipline area.
• Engineer of Record.
• Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates.
• Cordination with all the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
• Technical interface with code officials and contractors.

Requirements

• Accomplished professional mechanical engineer (PE).
• Existing licensure in NC is preferred.
• 5-10 years of progressive technical experience with progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems, on large and small, complex, healthcare projects.
• Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget.
