Senior Mechanical Engineer / Automation / Robotics

About the role

A robotics and automation startup in Massachusetts is hiring a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the core mechatronic systems behind an industrial robotics platform. The position offers a unique opportunity to build a machine that automates processes traditionally done manually.

Responsibilities

• 55% Mechanical System Design & Development
• 25% Prototyping
• 15% Engineering Validation
• 5% Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Daily Responsibilities: 60% Hands On, 10% Management Duties, 30% Team Collaboration

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or mechanical engineering
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent fields
• Expertise in designing electro-mechanical systems from start to finish
• Proficiency in CAD, GD&T, FEA
• Familiar with debugging mechanical systems

Qualifications

• Experience with DFM
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python
• Worked with embedded teams
