Roles And Responsibilities
- Design systems and integrate the multiple systems using SolidWorks from initial concept stage through production launch.
- Generate and provide analysis of FEA studies in SolidWorks.
- Generate and analyze drawings from parts/assemblies IAW ASME 14.100 and MIL- STD-31000.
- Affiliate in production problem solving by interfacing with the manufacturing team to find creative solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members and represent the company with customers and suppliers.
Required Education/Experience
- Education: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
- Oreducation: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of mechanical and design/drawing experience.
Technical Skills
- Experience designing mechanical systems and power generation and distribution systems, particularly medium and low voltage switchgear distribution systems.
- Electrical/engine-driven systems integration.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing practices IAW ASME Y14 - including Y14.5, Y14.100.
- SolidWorks and 2D CAD, and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics are mandatory.
Personal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving abilities.
- Must be eligible to receive U.S. Security Clearance.
- Must have ability and some flexibility to travel domestically and internationally - up to 20%.
Pay
Salary: $95000.00 - $130000.00 per year
