About the role

CMTA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. This role is well-suited for an engineering leader who enjoys tackling complex, unfamiliar challenges and developing thoughtful, creative solutions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Positively motivate and review work performed by team of mechanical engineers. Professionally work with clients to identify goals. Correctly complete billing and budgeting for a project. Coordinate services between mechanical engineer team, clients, and other contractors. Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties. Manage a team of engineers and designers; conduct periodic reviews and foster a collaborative atmosphere. Facilitate weekly team meetings and effectively delegate workload to team members.
  • Business Development: Frequent professional interaction with clients to discover and implement expectations. Maintain positive relationships with clients.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, And Licenses/Certifications Required)

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.E. Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
  • 10+ years of working industry experience.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization.
  • Established industry and market expert.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and be a strong decision maker.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within role.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules and deadlines require.
