Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Seeking a **Senior Mechanical Engineer** to lead mechanical engineering and capital projects within a heavy industrial plant. Projects range from **$50K to $5M**, covering design, fabrication, FAT, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects up to **$5M** from design through commissioning
• Develop and manage drawings using **AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault**
• Lead **machine FAT, startup, and commissioning** activities
• Create/manage **BOMs and spare-parts requirements**
• Perform equipment/project **risk assessments** and implement safety measures
• Manage vendors and **external contractors**
• Provide mechanical engineering support and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Capital project management experience up to **$5M**
• **Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling** and **Autodesk Vault** experience
• Machine **FAT and commissioning** experience
• Heavy industrial plant engineering background
• BOM management experience
• Equipment risk assessment experience
• External contractor management experience

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and capital project management is required. Proficiency in **AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault** is essential. Experience with heavy industrial plants and risk assessments is preferred.
