About the role

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join our team in Hazelwood, MO. BDS Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design
  • Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements
  • Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation
  • Perform and document analyses
  • Manage supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
  • Prioritize, delegate and track performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design
  • Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts
  • Train and coach others
  • Work under minimal direction

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active
  • This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

Qualifications

  • Aerospace hydraulic systems and development
  • Aerospace supplier qualification
  • Subsystem lab testing
  • Subsystem airworthiness certification

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $126,650 - $171,350.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
