Where You Fit In
As a Senior Mechanical Assembler, you will be at the center of building WET’s core systems—translating engineering designs into fully realized mechanical assemblies. You will work across mechanical structures, plumbing systems, and electrical integrations, ensuring each build meets exacting standards for fit, function, and durability.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation
- Assemble integrated mechanical systems including structural components, pipe assemblies, valves, manifolds, and electromechanical elements
- Build and route wire harnesses and cable assemblies, ensuring proper termination, labeling, and protection
- Perform plumbing and pipe fitting (threaded, compression, and bonded connections), ensuring leak-free and field-ready systems
- Install and align pumps, motors, actuators, sensors, and lighting components to precise tolerances
- Use precision tools including torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and alignment tools to verify assembly accuracy
- Chase, repair, and maintain threads using taps, dies, and thread restoration techniques
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and rework to ensure assemblies meet performance requirements prior to release
- Identify build issues, tolerance stack-ups, and design gaps; provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts, helping refine build processes, tooling, and assembly standards
- Maintain a disciplined, clean, and safe work environment aligned with 5S and shop best practices
What You Bring
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly within manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, or custom fabrication environments
- Strong experience with mechanical systems, plumbing/pipe fitting, and wire harness assembly
- Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Solid understanding of tolerances, alignment, sealing methods, and system integration
- Experience assembling complex, multi-disciplinary systems (mechanical + electrical + fluid systems)
- Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues during build
- Self-directed, reliable, and able to take ownership of critical assemblies from start to finish
- Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with engineering, fabrication, and production teams
Preferred Experience
- Experience in low-volume, high-complexity builds or custom engineered products
- Background in themed entertainment, aerospace, automotive prototypes, or similar industries
- Familiarity with hydraulic or fluid systems, pumps, and control assemblies
- Experience supporting installation or field commissioning efforts
