Senior Mask Design Engineer – Hardware

We are seeking a hard‑working Senior Mask Design Engineer who is committed to making a difference through their contributions. This position will collaborate with the Package Technical Lead and various design teams to design and develop sophisticated, detailed layouts of silicon interposers for NVIDIA products, and work with design teams to plan schedules, resolve cost, manufacturing, and electrical design issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with the Package Technical Lead (PTL) and I/O signal‑integrity and technology engineers to deliver package solutions on tight schedules.
• Perform physical layout for silicon interposers using Cadence tools.
• Conduct design feasibility studies to evaluate package design goals for size, cost, and system performance.
• Study layout floorplans and execute custom layout and verification against design rules and netlists.
• Propose layout design trade‑offs to the PTL for resolution and implementation.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 + years proven experience in mask and layout design.
• Deep understanding of layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.

Skills

• Authority with Cadence layout tools, especially Virtuoso.
• Knowledge of Integrity auto‑routing (a plus).
• Experience running and debugging verification tools such as Calibre, ICV, Thunder, etc.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, Skill, etc.).
• Knowledge of DRC and LVS checking flows with ability to customize decks.
• Familiarity with APD package layout tool (a plus).
• Good understanding of packaging technology.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, passion, and positive energy.

Pay

Base salary ranges are $136,000 – $212,750 USD for Level 3 and $168,000 – $258,750 USD for Level 4. The role is also eligible for equity and additional benefits.
