Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced Google Tag Manager setups (including server-side GTM), GA4 configurations, and custom tracking solutions for enterprise clients
- Create sophisticated data layer architectures and write production-quality JavaScript for complex tracking requirements
- Implement BigQuery reporting pipelines, automated QA processes, and data analysis tools using Python and SQL
- Balance robust tracking capabilities with site performance, ensuring fast load times and scalable implementations
- Work with project managers, strategists, and client development teams to deliver exceptional analytics solutions
Requirements
- Extensive experience writing complex JavaScript applications, with deep understanding of modern JS patterns and best practices
- Expert-level proficiency with Google Tag Manager, including custom templates, server-side implementations, and Measurement Protocol
- Deep experience with GA4 implementations, including enhanced eCommerce, custom dimensions, and complex event tracking
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Magento platforms, including how to implement tracking solutions within both environments
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, with hands-on BigQuery experience
- Understanding of web performance optimization and the impact of third-party scripts on site speed
- A team player who can explain complex technical concepts to both developers and marketers
- Willingness to work hard, ask questions, and stay current with the rapidly evolving martech landscape
