About the role
The members of the Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team serve as strategic partners in helping the firm develop, win, and retain business. Working in a fast-paced and creative environment, we write and design business proposals and presentations to support the firm’s business development and pursuit of new opportunities. We are seeking a candidate with strong skills in persuasive communications, writing, sales, strategy, project management, and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Proposal and pursuit strategy management – Lead the pursuit process, from start to finish, by developing sales strategies and writing persuasive messages based on information from research profiles, meetings with client service professionals, meetings with target companies’ staff and management, and knowledge of the firm’s offerings. Collaborate with pursuit teams and manage large teams of service providers and stakeholders. Create proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and other sales deliverables.
- Project management – Serve as the central point of contact and lead project manager for assigned proposals while simultaneously managing multiple proposals and pursuit deliverables. Facilitate large teams of client service professionals, graphic design team resources, marketing professionals, and other pursuit resources to produce deliverables. Deliver a comprehensive response on time that best positions the firm as the first-choice while maintaining compliance with RFP process and proposal directives. Simultaneously manage multiple pursuits, proposals, presentations, and pursuit deliverables.
- Persuasive content creation – Develop and write persuasive messages based on information from pursuit research, customer personas/profiles, buyer journey/buyer group staging, meetings with client service professionals, communications with customer’s staff and management, prior pursuit experiences, and strong knowledge of the firm’s offerings. Engage and collaborate with additional firm resources as necessary to produce quality deliverables by the deadline.
- Finalist presentations – Lead and facilitate the pursuit/RFP finalist presentation preparation process to support the win strategy; if a multi-stage process, lead and facilitate all stages until selection is made. Develop talking points and presentation deliverables in collaboration with presenters. Effectively lead and coach internal “dry runs” prior to presentation date; provide constructive feedback to presenters; finalize presentation materials.
