The Essential Functions of the Position
- Perform any of the Manufacturing Technician duties and functions as needed.
- Perform assembly, disassembly and installation of complicated components or equipment with rigid tolerances.
- Determine operation sequences and methods where specifications are imprecise or vague.
- Troubleshoot problems with material/parts, prints, equipment or product.
- Aid in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Confirm quality criteria is properly inspected, verified and documented during manufacturing to ensure product meets specifications, tolerances, prints and customers order requirements.
- Identify and correct defects appropriately.
- Follow and comply with standard work procedures and sequence of operations to consistently meet manufacturing standards for safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
- Perform TPM and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on assembly/testing tools, equipment and machines.
- Practice 6S and comply with all safety rules, guidelines and safe working practices.
- Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, motorized scissor lifts and work platforms.
- Assist in advanced training of new employees including improving individual skills as well as assisting in the development of training materials.
- Actively assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.

Non-Essential Functions of the Position
- Conduct on-the-job training for others and assist in training new employees.
- Help in the development of training materials.
- Assist Manufacturing Department in continuous improvement projects and tasks.
- May provide work leadership support tracking progress and resolving routine quality, material, maintenance and manufacturing problems within guidelines as needed.
- Absorb and improve methods, processes, tools, fixtures or quality as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Special Skills/Experience/Training
- High school education or equivalent, plus four years’ prior manufacturing or manufacturing experience, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Advanced mechanical/technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience reading manufacturing drawings/specifications, prints or work instructions.
- Developed math and geometry skills.
- Knowledge and use of basic industrial measuring tools.
- Developed skills in the proper use of various hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and understanding of computer applications.
Physical/Mental Characteristics of the Position and Environmental Factors of the Workplace
- Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.
- Ability to work at elevated heights and climb stairs.
- Ability to inspect work.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Ability to judge the quality of work produced compared to established standards, drawings, and instructions.
- Ability to operate powered equipment, such as fork truck and overhead crane.
- Ability to work in outdoor climate and normal indoor temperatures.
- Stand and walk minimum 6-8 hours per day.
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, kneel, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces.
- Ability to climb and work up to 20 feet off the ground for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform repetitive movement.
- Ability to use all applicable PPE including but not limited to hard hat, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
