Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-the-floor technical support working closely with Cell Leads, Supervisors, and fellow Engineers
  • Coordinate and perform cross functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organization
  • Develop and update existing manufacturing processes
  • Determine in-process testing and product final inspection requirements
  • Write process deviation and rework instructions as required
  • Create and maintain key process documentation such as Work Instructions, Workbooks, Routings, among others
  • Support the development of process documentation for new product(s) and changes to existing product(s)
  • Identify and improve the results of manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction
  • Engage in Production Readiness activities
  • Conduct reviews to ensure that the documentation, production processes, test methods, production specifications, tooling and training are in place to support a controlled production environment
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Create label templates in Brady Workstation or equivalent software
  • Analyze new designs for manufacturability; collaborate to improve product design related to enable process
  • Promote clear process communication and support training of assembly and fabrication personnel
  • Develop expertise in all GDMS products, their design details, product structure (BOM), manufacturing processes, and associated risks
  • May need to work long hours when necessary to complete time sensitive projects

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or Master's degree
  • Solid understanding of standard engineering principles and methods in completing technical assignments
  • Solid mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude to analyze and troubleshoot abnormal operation conditions on equipment, devices, fixtures, among others

Pay

Target salary range: USD $75,851.40/Yr. - USD $82,073.55/Yr.

Schedule

This position is fully on-site where you will be part of the Pittsfield, Massachusetts team.
