Responsibilities

  • Ensure changes to enhance machine functionality.
  • Lead projects to continuously improve and upgrade equipment.
  • Lead complex projects to troubleshoot and solve errors and problems on production equipment.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Confer with manufacturing engineers and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Validate the development of product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, fixturing, or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Consult the engineering team about potential suppliers for production equipment, tooling, and fixturing, and contribute to the final technical choice.
  • Evaluate and assist in the evolution of equipment and perform acceptance evaluations according to specification.
  • Validate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs of production equipment to provide information for management decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience and leading technical projects.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Expert-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering.
  • Experience with customer communication systems.
  • Extensive experience with engineering change systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering techniques, principles, and procedures to complete difficult assignments.
