About the Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will assume lead technical responsibility for development and administration of one or more major manufacturing programs, systems or activities. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. This is a 100% onsite position.

Responsibilities

  • Specify new processes, design, develop, install, and qualify new equipment, including supporting equipment design upgrades to improve use and optimization.
  • Take a leadership role in coordinating efforts of working departments to implement project scope, schedule, and meet capital spending targets.
  • Analyze and recommend technological innovations in material, machinery, manufacturing, and chemical processing techniques to solve complex manufacturing problems.
  • Analyze and propose renewals of business opportunities and plant or division strategic plans.
  • Represent Westinghouse on professional societies or industry trade associations.
  • Prepare technical papers and make formal presentations to customers and others.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Nuclear industry experience is desired but not required.

Pay

The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
