Job Overview

Omen (omen.ai) is revolutionizing industrial maintenance by miniaturizing lab-grade spectroscopy into field-deployable sensors. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead the transition of validated spectroscopy prototypes into high-volume production for the Scout and Sentry platforms. This role involves bridging engineering and global supply chains to ensure real-time detection of failure modes in critical cooling and lubricating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) by reviewing mechanical and electrical designs for cost-efficiency, yield, and rapid assembly speed.
  • Identify and manage a global supplier network, negotiating terms with machine shops, PCB assembly houses, and contract manufacturers.
  • Establish and oversee initial low-volume, in-house assembly lines to validate processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before scaling to high-volume production.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), successfully transitioning complex electro-mechanical hardware from early-stage prototypes to mass production environments.
  • Deep expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies, with proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Proven track record of auditing supplier capabilities and enforcing quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve supply chain bottlenecks and proactively source alternative components without compromising performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Experience with spectroscopy and sensor development is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
