About the role

The Senior Managing Speech Language Pathologist at LOGAN supports individuals with various disabilities through evaluations, therapy, and communication strategies. They ensure that each client's needs are met and work closely with families and other professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, communicating results to families and other professionals.
  • Develop and implement individual therapy plans to improve speech and language abilities, feeding skills, and more.
  • Collaborate with other LOGAN staff and external service providers to enhance client outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community programs.
  • Keep detailed progress notes and reports according to payor requirements.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and parent group meetings.
  • Write treatment plans and IFSAs (Individual Family Service Plans) as required.
  • Attend workshops and conferences to stay updated on best practices.
  • Provide resources and support to families and professionals.
  • Ensure the health and safety of the individuals served.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology and licensure in the required state(s).
  • At least 5 years of experience working with IDD/DD/ASD populations.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Enrollment in the state of Indiana as a First Steps provider (for Indiana providers only).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds during sessions.
