About the role
As part of Resurety’s Energy Consulting practice, you will work with the world’s leading energy buyers, sellers, and investors at the forefront of the energy transition, translating complex data into strategic insights that drive multi-million-dollar investment and procurement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple high-profile projects as the primary client contact, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and on budget.
- Through both direct analysis and delegated team support, produce high-quality, client-ready presentations and reports that summarize complex models and large, unstructured datasets into clear strategic recommendations.
- Monitor evolving regulatory rules and market trends across US ISOs/RTOs (e.g., ERCOT, PJM, CAISO), periodically writing thought leadership pieces for customers.
- Rapidly respond to customer requests about new technologies, markets, or trends, building internal capabilities and testing market interest for cross-functional product development.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related technical field
- 5-8 years of experience in quantitative or strategic roles in the energy industry or at a leading consulting firm.
- Deep understanding of wholesale electricity markets, clean energy generation (e.g., wind, solar, storage), and business strategies for clean energy buyers (e.g., corporate, utilities), sellers (e.g., developers, IPPs), and investors.
- Technical proficiency to comfortably run and review analysis across a variety of tools, including Python, SQL, R, Snowflake, and Excel.
- Clear written and verbal communicator, with proven ability to bridge the gap between complex model outputs and commercial decision-making by providing simple yet rigorous synthesized insights.
- Self-motivated problem solver comfortable completing complex, ambiguous tasks accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Work in the Boston office three days per week - We are a hybrid office - in the Boston office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Remote on Wednesdays and Fridays (unless you want to work in the Boston office on those days).
- Proven ability to win credibility with sophisticated energy market participants.
- Strong understanding of offtake agreements (e.g., PPAs) and other clean energy procurement mechanisms (e.g., green tariffs, RECs, on-site generation)
- Fundamental understanding of marginal emissions rates and underlying methodologies (e.g., grid dispatch, marginal generators)
- Demonstrated experience with go-to-market strategy, financial modeling, or asset valuation

Benefits
- Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This range does not include annual bonus, equity-based incentives, and benefits.
- Boston Office Location - 40 Water Street, 9th Floor, Boston, Massachusetts
Pay
The base compensation range for this position is $141,000 - $166,000.
