Responsibilities
- Manage Communal Student Advisors (30%): Manage a team of Virtual Advisors, who are responsible for advising students via the Bluprint and Get Schooled platform(s); Manage the team of reviewers and contractor advisors that power Get Schooled scaled services (essay, scholarship, and resume reviews) during peak seasons. Work with Program Operations, Program Strategy, and Fidelity to ensure program delivery is aligned with The Bottom Line Way and represents the latest in program evolution.
- Communal Student Support (15%): The Senior Manager advises students when escalated by advisors, generally in the case of students who require additional or more complex support. Schedules, manages, and informs email and SMS campaigns on Mainstay and Element 451, according to the campaign calendar. Oversees the day-to-day management of the BL Communications Calendars in Asana, ensuring tasks are updated, content development stays on track, and communications are scheduled in collaboration with the Strategy & Fidelity Team. Provides front-line support for students at high risk in collaboration with scaled virtual advisors. Manages escalations to Success Coaches for students requiring in-person advocacy or higher-touch support, ensuring appropriate handoff, documentation, and follow-up.
- Recruitment and New Student Onboarding (20%): Manages the Scaled Advising student recruitment process, including collaborating and coordinating with regional leads. This process involves setting up policies, processes, and protocols for recruitment; developing collateral and materials; and even participating in recruitment sessions. Identifies initial knowledge needs of new and returning students to the Bluprint program, defines the onboarding process, develops materials to deliver onboarding and orientation sessions, and delivers onboarding to the students.
- Student Support Services & Event Management (20%): Manages the coordination of procurement and delivery of student care packages. Manages the emergency funding review and fulfillment process for critical and/or urgent student needs. Manage Emergency Fund process to support student persistence; manage annual budget, application review, and track spending to ensure finance and development teams have requisite information for funders. Works with external and internal partners on developing policies and protocols regarding the safety and welfare of Bluprint students, taking into consideration the social, political, and legal environments in which they are attending school. Leads the planning and execution of virtual student events and engagement initiatives, including Recognition Night, workshops, and orientations, ensuring a high-quality student experience.
- Organizational Support (5%): Represent the Bottom Line brand in a positive light and take actions to increase brand awareness throughout the community. Follow trends and best practices in the field of college success and technology to support persistence efforts to inform evolving program design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in nonprofit, government, philanthropy, or technology, with at least 2 years in a product management, product owner, or business analyst capacity.
- Demonstrated experience translating program or business needs into prioritized requirements, roadmaps, and configuration decisions on shared platforms (CRM, advising, communications, LMS, or comparable).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum frameworks, sprint cycles, backlog management, and iterative release planning.
- Experience configuring or supporting CRM platforms (Salesforce, NPC, or comparable), with the ability to reason about data flows, integrations, and end-user workflows.
- Strong data fluency; comfort using Excel or comparable tools for cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document technical decisions clearly for non-technical audiences and to surface tradeoffs to leaders.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and follow-through; comfortable holding multiple workstreams and partner relationships at once.
- Change-management orientation; able to work through evolving program requirements, platform changes, and shifting priorities.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator able to partner credibly with Transformation, RAE, Training & Learning, regional Program Directors, and national leaders.
