Senior Manager, Technical Program Management
About the role
Our TPM Sr. Managers lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale products & platforms. You'll be responsible for managing technical programs, designing and building data-intensive solutions, and working across different functions and organizations.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical programs and deliver business impact
- Design and build data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- Build distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture, preferably using AWS
- Build highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- Deliver large and complex programs with ownership of the business or technical vision
- Collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact
Requirements
- Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services)
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
- A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker
- Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
- Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done
- Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
- 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- 3+ years experience with Agile delivery
- 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact
- Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location:
- Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management
- Mclean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management
- New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management
- Riverwoods, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management
