Senior Manager Tax Planning and Controversy

For our client, a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Tax Planning and Controversy to strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes that guide business decisions. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Real Estate & Construction environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead global tax planning initiatives including transfer pricing and merger activities
• Provide leadership and guidance to Tax Manager and Analysts
• Engage in significant income tax audits and interact with tax authorities
• Support business partners by proactively addressing their tax needs
• Manage relationships with external service providers
• Communicate reporting and compliance impacts of planning initiatives effectively
• Lead special tax projects and support corporate-wide initiatives
• Stay updated on tax laws to identify risks and opportunities for the company

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting firm and corporate tax experience with international exposure a plus
• 2+ years of experience in tax planning and controversy
• Strong technical understanding of tax laws and accounting principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills for strategic business partnerships
• Team player capable of collaborating with remote and cross-functional teams
• Robust business acumen and analytical abilities
• Proficient in technology used in finance and tax functions
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s in Taxation or CPA preferred

Pay

$95,396 – $156,195 annually
