Senior Manager, Systems Engineering

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of systems engineers, setting clear expectations and performance standards
• Automate access management processes in Okta Workflows for joiners, movers, and leavers
• Establish and oversee device assurance policies for macOS and Windows environments
• Streamline the ITSM landscape to enhance self-service and trust among partner teams
• Ensure compliance and security in SaaS procurement processes
• Manage identity and access infrastructure for the AI stack, collaborating with AI and Data teams
• Create a visibility layer to track team workload and capacity effectively
• Collaborate with multiple departments to enable self-service while maintaining safety and compliance

Requirements

• 8+ years in IT or systems engineering, including 3+ years managing engineers
• Hands-on experience with AI in enterprise tools like Okta, Intune, and Atlassian
• Expertise in identity, endpoint, ITSM or procurement with a history of expanding responsibilities
• Comfortable working through influence with partner organizations
• Proven history of improving inherited teams through coaching and development
• Strong technical depth to assess project estimates and risks accurately
• Curiosity and capability to apply AI responsibly in work practices

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
