The Senior Manager Supply Chain oversees all aspects of supply chain operations with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality improvement. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Consult in the development of supply chain management best practices and strategies
  • Create Purchasing and Sourcing strategies for the Components on the Bills of Materials
  • Create scalability plans based on strategic company goals, including systems implementation, reporting methods, and hiring plans
  • Work with Head of Programs and Partnerships to maintain good supplier selection and relationships
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring high quality at lowest possible cost
  • Manage purchase orders and timing of Direct Materials from the Bill of Materials
  • Manage a diverse team of Purchasing and Supply Chain Employees to ensure tasks are completed
  • Continuously work to drive down bill of materials costs
  • Oversee shipping/receiving functions
  • Responsible for the report out and accuracy of Inventory within the Inventory Cage and ensures proper transactions within the ERP are being entered to account for the ins and outs of inventory
  • Supports various departments in the design review process and provides feedback on manufacturing methods, costs, and lead times
  • Manage indirect purchasing to control indirect costs
  • Engage with suppliers on quality issues and initiate corrective actions when applicable
  • Establish and maintain an inventory system and control material availability
  • Work with design engineers on design for manufacturability improvements
  • Work with Finance and Accounting to provide accurate information on inventory and assets
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with the Company’s Delegation of Authority for Purchases
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Indirect Purchasing Department and ensure best practices for cost reductions and compliance are met

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations, or related field
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Ability to undergo driving record check
  • Experience managing supplier relationships
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite

Desirable:

  • Experience with continuous improvement methods such as 8D, CAPA, Six Sigma
  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with PPAP, APQP activities
  • Experience with autonomous and electric vehicle systems

Physical Requirements

  • Standard office working conditions which include prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use
  • Ability to lift and carry objects 20 - 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds for a team lift) repeatedly throughout the shift

Pay

Salary Range: $115,000—$145,000 USD
