Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives
The Sr Manager, Strategic Initiatives will support the execution of key initiatives to advance the value creation and strategic goals of Mars Science & Diagnostics (SDx), a division of Mars Petcare dedicated to preventive health, early and precision diagnostics, and monitoring for pets.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution, implementation, and tracking of enterprise transformation and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and intended outcomes.
- Partner with the Director and VP of Strategy to support strategic planning, develop recommendations, conduct analyses, and provide insights that inform key business decisions.
- Lead deep-dive analyses on high-priority strategic questions, leveraging data and cross-functional input to identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Manage dependencies across initiatives, align stakeholders, identify risks and resource constraints, and support effective prioritization and decision-making.
- Coordinate strategic governance forums (e.g., transformation reviews, program boards, SteerCos), including meeting preparation, stakeholder alignment, decision tracking, and follow-up actions.
- Provide project management support for strategic initiatives, maintain project plans and reporting, and develop dashboards, tools, and metrics to measure progress and drive accountability.
- Prepare executive communications, presentations, and business reviews, while supporting special strategy projects, enterprise initiatives, and ad hoc analyses as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of program/project management experience.
- 4+ years of experience in management consulting and/or strategy execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise-wide cross-functional initiatives and change management.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting complex projects with significant business impact.
- Strong ability in communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience in the animal/medical diagnostics industry.
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis.

Schedule
- This role is based in New York, NY.
- Some travel may be required (~10% of the time).
Working Conditions
The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently sits for extended periods, stands, walks, and reaches with hands and arms. The associate occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 15 pounds and may sit, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The role primarily operates in a typical office environment with minimal temperature extremes.
Pay
The target pay range for this position is $169,000 - $210,000 annually. Pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.
