Senior Manager Sourcing - Hybrid

Strategic Sourcing comprises multiple departments that support the enterprise-wide non-labor contracting and category management infrastructure. Its mission is to maximize clinical, operational, and financial value across products, equipment, services, IT applications, and support while strengthening our One Ministry Committed to Excellence through a robust foundation of common products, services, and standards. Through disciplined category management, Strategic Sourcing partners with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to develop category strategies informed by enterprise demand, spend and market insights, supplier capabilities, risk, and total cost of ownership. The team provides leadership in sourcing, contract negotiation, contract development and management, supplier relationship and performance management, and ongoing value realization for the Providence St. Joseph Health enterprise. Services are prioritized according to enterprise and regional business needs, with emphasis on improving clinical and financial outcomes, standardizing and optimizing the supply base, mitigating organizational risk, meeting legal and regulatory requirements, and advancing responsible stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives for non-labor categories including products, equipment, services, IT applications, and support.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with enterprise demand, spend analytics, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, risk assessment, and total cost of ownership.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to identify needs and drive standardization and optimization of the supply base.
- Conduct sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, and manage contract development and lifecycle.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, performance management, and ongoing value realization.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while advancing responsible stewardship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 years of experience in Contract Management or a blend of healthcare and corporate contracting responsibilities.
- 5 years of experience in Contract Management and/or Medical Surgical, Physician Specialty (Implantable Devices), Purchased Services, or IT application sourcing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6 years of people management experience in a leadership role.
- For IT roles: 5 years of managing IT application knowledge.
- For Physician Specialty Implantable Devices roles: 3 years of managing implantable devices.
Pay
- California (Southern California – Except Bakersfield): Min: $58.79, Max: $92.82
- Oregon (Portland Service Area): Min: $56.40, Max: $89.04
- Washington (Western): Min: $58.79, Max: $92.82
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
