About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for the Finance Operate Platform across Controllership, Treasury, and FP&A sub-offerings.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning technology investment priorities with Finance Transformation business objectives and market opportunity.
  • Conduct market sizing and competitive analysis to inform build-versus-buy decisions and partnership strategies.
  • Evaluate platform portfolio fit: which capabilities should be core builds, which should be alliances, and which should be deprioritized.
  • Manage the intake pipeline from SME ideas, offering lead requests, and enablement capability gaps through structured stage-gate validation.
  • Define and enforce stage-gate criteria for idea progression: hypothesis validation, business case, prototype, MVP, and production readiness.
  • Lead business case development and value quantification for new platform capabilities, including cost-to-build, addressable market, and ROI projections.
  • Make go/no-go decisions at each stage gate in collaboration with Finance Operate offering leadership and Tech Enablement leadership.
  • Partner with Finance Operate offering leads (Controllership, Treasury, FP&A) to capture demand signals and translate into prioritized product requirements.
  • Facilitate portfolio prioritization forums with senior stakeholders, balancing strategic value, urgency, resourcing constraints, and market timing.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap updates, and investment decisions to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with Finance Transformation leadership and service line leads.
  • Partner with the Innovation Lead on validated idea progression through the incubation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with AI/Automation Architect and Solution Architect on technical feasibility assessments and effort estimation.
  • Work closely with Governance & Standards Lead to ensure portfolio decisions align with quality and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, strategy, consulting, or technology delivery, with at least 3 years in a senior product or portfolio leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product portfolios, defining roadmaps, and making strategic go/no-go investment decisions.
  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to build business cases, conduct market analysis, and quantify value.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence senior leadership and navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience working in Finance, ERP, or enterprise software product contexts preferred; managing, creating, or implementing solutions/products that support automation of finance functions such as Record to Report.
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Background in Finance Transformation, Finance Operate, or related managed services delivery models.
  • Familiarity with AI/automation, workflow platforms (ServiceNow), and data/analytics technologies.
  • Experience with stage-gate innovation processes and portfolio management frameworks.
