About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Teradata databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement database schemas and queries
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure data consistency and security
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery tests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in database administration
- Experience with Teradata SQL and database management tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relational database design and normalization
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
