About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Teradata databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database schemas and queries
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure data consistency and security
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery tests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration
  • Experience with Teradata SQL and database management tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relational database design and normalization
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of cloud-based database solutions
