Senior Manager, Software Engineering

About the role

Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management. We help organizations defend against cybersecurity threats with comprehensive data security and management capabilities, including immutable backup snapshots, AI-based threat detection, monitoring for malicious behavior, and rapid recovery at scale. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead teams in designing and building massively parallel and distributed systems and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in crafting and developing products for both on-prem and SaaS offerings.
• Drive thought leadership and innovation to accelerate high-quality software development.
• Mentor, lead, and grow your engineers on the team.
• Set clear goals and lead collaborative achievements.
• Work closely with various stakeholders within Cohesity like product management, program management, sales, QA, and support teams to deliver high-quality products and drive the product vision and roadmap.
• Contribute to our data platform, serving as a foundational platform for various on-prem and SaaS products at Cohesity.

Requirements

• A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
• 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in planning, architecting, and delivering high-quality products.
• 5+ years of building, handling, or leading high-performance software development teams.
• Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies.
• Previous experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Excellent coding & design skills.
• Domain expertise in relevant areas such as Distributed systems, Storage, Filesystems, Security, Data Management, AI/ML, and SaaS.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $271,322.00-$301,469.00 annually. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations.
