Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering

For our client, a leader in the Healthcare space, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. This role involves collaboration across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own application stability and risk mitigation by proactively addressing vulnerabilities and driving issue resolution
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Manage delivery planning and technical execution for efficient project timelines
• Adopt emerging technologies and best practices to enhance application performance
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, promoting collaboration and accountability
• Set measurable engineering goals aligned with business outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP CAR experience, including 2+ years managing projects and direct reports
• Experience with vendor-hosted finance applications
• Expertise in managing a retail finance application portfolio in a regulated environment
• Strong grasp of compliance, audit, and risk management frameworks
• Proficient in managing budgets related to the application portfolio
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a growth mindset

Pay

$106,605 – $260,590 annually
